Interaction currently has properties across the North West and Western Suburbs of NSW.  These properties cover 3 levels of accommodation support – low, medium and high – categories are defined below:

Low Level Supported Accommodation: Intermittent ‘drop-in’ supports, providing low-level supervision of living arrangements.

Medium Level Supported Accommodation: 24-hour support including active assistance or supervision with daily tasks. Overnight stay is included, however, carers are not required to be awake during an overnight stay.

High Level Supported Accommodation: Provides a ‘round the clock’ 24-hour intensive level of support including: managing challenging behaviours that require positive behaviour support, continual assistance with all daily tasks, active management of complex medical needs.

Interaction always has great feedback about the people we serve, here’s a few of the most recent within one of our high-level support group homes:

One person who found it extremely difficult from a social aspect to venture out into the community, can now confidently stroll into the local shops, select and purchase their own items with confidence.

Another wonderful person in our care now manages to independently catch the bus from Sydney to the Central Coast on a regular basis to visit parents. Using the ATM to withdraw their monthly allowance is another achievement.

There was a time when all these everyday types of activities would not even be considered by the people in this high support accommodation facility. However, with the patience, compassion, professionalism and consistency of work our Social Educators have provided, these individuals have come a long way with their levels of independence and confidence.

With the rollout of the NDIS there is an increased demand for supported accommodation facilities.  Interaction acknowledges this demand and has future plans to bring our expertise in this area to a wider network geographically.  To assist us with identifying high demand locations please complete our Vacancy Expression of Interest Form.
