Here at Interaction, we do our best to eliminate barriers to inclusion by increasing access to opportunities and independence for people with disability.  Our Support Workers are on the front line, working tirelessly to assist our participants to identify and reach their goals.  This is of the utmost importance for confidence and self-esteem.

Encouragement is high on the agenda for Interaction, when we see our participants reach goals we celebrate with them, and we love to tell the community about the tremendous efforts a participant has gone to, in order to exceed even their own expectations at times.

As another way to encourage our wonderful participants, Interaction is introducing ‘Goal Kicker of the Month’.  We want everyone in the community to get behind our participants, and we want to hear more about the goals being achieved or worked towards.  Nominations could be anything from improvement, attitude, hard work, helping others – basically anything that sees a participant making positive outcomes and working towards their goals.

Who can nominate?  Anyone who knows about something great that an Interaction participant is doing.  Could be:

• Interaction staff
• Participant family members/carers
• Participants who want to nominate their peers
• Other service providers who also support Interaction participants in some way

This is not a competition about who does what best, it’s about encouraging participants to be the best individuals they can be. Therefore, to keep selection fair, all nominations will go into a draw at the end of each month, with a winner randomly selected at the beginning of the following month, who will win a $50 Target voucher.
