The Disability Royal Commission has been on hold due to COVID-19 restrictions over the past few months. As the country begins to re-open, a public hearing on the impact of COVID-19 has had on people with disability will be held in Sydney, commencing on  17 August.

It is expected that people with disability, advocacy groups, relevant sector and government representatives will provide evidence.

The hearing is announced as a follow up the recent release of the issues paper on Emergency Planning and Response.

The hearing will be live streamed on the Royal Commission website and will feature live captioning and Auslan-English interpreters.
